My project, Collective Verse, aspires to act as a reflection on ancient, historical aspects of Mesoaamerica and how it may relate to modern experience. I find it challenging trying to research this aspect of the past. I clearly need to visit locations and access these murals. I’m also torn at the messy attempts to romanticize aspects of an indentity may be so heavily removed from.
